Metalcam has taken a significant step forward in its international growth by obtaining ASME Material Organisation III certification, one of the most rigorous and globally recognised standards for the manufacture of components for the nuclear sector.

This recognition confirms the company’s ability to operate to extremely high standards in terms of quality, process control, document compliance and traceability, further strengthening Metalcam’s position in highly specialised industrial sectors.

Metalcam is now one of the few ASME III-certified integrated Italian manufacturers capable of managing the entire production cycle within a single facility: steelworks, forging, heat treatment, non-destructive testing, mechanical testing laboratory and mechanical workshop. This integrated production model ensures consistent quality and complete control over the manufacturing process at every stage.

The ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) standards are one of the leading international benchmarks for the design, manufacture and inspection of components intended for critical energy applications. In particular, ASME III certification covers components and systems for the nuclear sector, where reliability and safety are of paramount importance.

“Achieving ASME III certification marks a significant milestone for Metalcam and confirms the growth and consolidation of our manufacturing and quality expertise.
This recognition further strengthens our ability to position ourselves as a reliable partner for highly complex industrial applications and opens up new opportunities in international energy markets.”

— Peter Bona, Quality Assurance Manager

As further evidence of Metalcam’s growing importance within the international nuclear supply chain, the company was also invited to take part in the Westinghouse Supplier Symposium, held in Monfalcone on 15 and 16 April 2026 with the support of ASME.

The event brought together some of the leading national and international players involved in the supply chain for next-generation nuclear programmes, providing an important opportunity for technical and industrial discussion on the future prospects of the energy sector.

With this certification, Metalcam is consolidating its presence in international energy markets and continuing its growth trajectory in highly specialised industrial sectors, reaffirming its commitment to reliability, technical expertise and manufacturing innovation.
