Thanks to additional plant investments, Metalcam reached the goal of producing a 53 tons ingot for the production of forging solutions.
This testifies Metalcam continuing effort aimed at widening the range of products available to customers by implementing appropriately every single department of the production cycle.

Achievement of a new production area

Metalcam, continuing the strategic policy of development and expansion of production, is proud to announce the construction completion of the new production area of 3000 square meters where the new departments of cold cutting and shipping are now placed. 
This allows an immediate implementation of a subsequent investment phase that will affect the heat treatment and testing departments by exploiting and optimizing the spaces previously occupied by the departments now moved to the new production area.
This testifies Metalcam continuous effort for identifying growth opportunities to support collaboration with our main partners. This is done maintaining the tradition of the company to manage independently the entire production cycle thanks to centuries of experience gained in the production and processing of steel.

The Heat Stability Test Machine is operative

Metalcam, always oriented towards the technological development and willing to increase its know-how, is proud to announce that its heat stability test machine is now operative. This test will be performed on different types of forgings, mainly rotors for steam turbines.

The new equipment allows all our customers of the Power Generation sector to find in Metalcam a qualified supplier, able to satisfy any needs, both technical and productive, in order to guarantee the high quality standards that have always characterized our company.

The First 40 tons Ingot

January 2010

The new 70 tons capacity manipulator is now fully operational

Metalcam is proud to announce the recent installation of a brand new 70 tons capacity manipulator, which has been fully operational since the beginning of 2010.
The manipulator allows the production of a wider range of steel forgings in a variety of shapes and weight up to 40 tons.
The optimization of the forging process to its highest level and the resulting minimization of the final product’s costs is ensured by a process of increased flexibility, functionality, maneuverability and efficiency.
